Built for real, messy data
Samesake's purpose-built matching engine combines established comparison methods with name reference data. It recognises nicknames, spelling variations and telephone numbers written in national or international formats.
It weighs the evidence across records and shows why they may belong together. Matches that need a closer look go to your team for review. It handles details such as:
- Nicknames: Jo and Joanne, Bill and William.
- Surnames that sound alike, and small typos.
- First and last names entered the wrong way round.
- Dates of birth with the day and month swapped.
- Placeholder names and dates, like "Test" or 01/01/1900, which count for nothing.
- Shared inboxes such as info@ or accounts@, which count for little.
- Households: a father and son at the same address aren't linked automatically just because they share a name and a house.
You can see why
Every link shows its evidence: which details agree, which don't, and how much each one counts. Strong matches link on their own. Doubtful ones go to your team, with the two records side by side.
Decisions stick. A rejected pair is never linked automatically. It only comes back to your team if the records change and the evidence becomes strong. Every decision records who made it, when, and why.
